The Port Authority of Naples has divided fast craft traffic (hydrofoil) from ferries.Hydrofoils leave from Beverello Dock (Piazza Municipio) and from Mergellina. The ferries from Porta Massa Quay.
Porta Massa Quay is the location of the New Maritime Station which was inaugurated on the 21st of September 2007 by the President of the Republic Giorgio Napolitano, and is equipped with a comfortable waiting room, ticket offices, shops, bars and a chemist’s.
A shuttle service to/for Piazzale Angioino (Piazza Municipio) connects the two docks from 6 a.m. to midnight.
At Beverello only pedestrian access is allowed.
At Porta Massa Quay, pedestrian access is through the Immacolatella Vecchia and Pisacane entrances. For private vehicles, Pisacane or Bausan Entrances (only with a booking).
The Port Authority of Naples, has planned for an improvement in the organisation of space for Beverello Dock, with new services and shelters.
The Beverello area comes under the Project for the transformation of the port waterfront.
